Hi Susan. No problem on bag replacement as far as I can see. Actually, you do have to forfeit any yuppie status you may currently have when returning to -any- old fashioned method. Seriously, you may want to explore materials for durability and/or porosity. If too thin, it'll may blow out at the wrong time (in the home); if too porous, the finer particles (particulates?) will just keep going out the back end for subsequent re-distribution; if not porous enough, there's the risk of laboring the motor, causing untimely burnout. So, you might want to check with a vacuum cleaner place to see if they have 'raw' material, a/o a "close" replacement cloth bag that you can modify the coupling method. On another note, my Hoover Porta-Power has served me well since 1970-something. In case it dies before I do, I'll want an immediate replacement. It will likely be the Eureka Mighty thing since the Hoover is discoed. Trouble is, I can find anything but the big Eurekas carpet sweepers in this corner of the world. The smaller stuff is either B&D or Red Devil offerings. At 06:43 PM 10/4/99 -0700, you wrote: >I have a question: my old small vac had a cloth bag, which I liked >better than the paper refills.
