balance rail bearings

Thanks for this info, Newt. During one of my NAMM tours, I checked out a
'B' and 'D', and found that on a medium to hard blow, the backchecks would
contact the hammer tails before the hammer got underway. You know the rest
of the story. At the time, I attributed this to key flex, due to the
"change" in keysticks (Kluge?). Obviously, it is unacceptable to tear down
a display for further investigation, so I'm glad to finally know the reason.

However, I thought that was then and now is now, and that someone other
than me would have noticed this and made appropriate corrections. Does this
condition also apply to current production? (I don't get out much - 8-} )
