I've done this on a half dozen pianos in the last couple of years (Protek,
that is, I don't charge for grinning), as a last resort, when I had reached
critical mass. Like Ed says (grain of salt on that "slosh" part <G>), it
works very well where strings won't drag over that yard of cloth underneath
too. I haven't detected a down side yet, but everyone knows pianos are
immortal, so there's still plenty of time.

Who was the brave soul who posted that he'd put Protek in a snappy pin
block? Hey, you out there, is it still working?
