Proper Approach? - CA pinblock repairs

Hello list,
I haven't really paid to much attention to this thread so if someone else
has addressed this issue than forgive me (please).
Do you think that when you dribble the CA glue in, it goes down and coats
the end grain of the pinblock material? If so, then isn't that defeating the
whole purpose of the tuning pin "thread" interfacing with the end grain of
the plys because the CA glue would form a slick plastic like covering over
the end grain? I realize that the system has failed and that is why you are
applying the glue but if anything I said above is true than it seems like it
would be real temporary at best.
I'm not trying to be critical, just wondering.
