pitch raise

et al;
 After all the recent talk re: time for pitch raise......I had the opportunity
today to time myself using a customers Baldwin spinet, model 521?

  I had tuned this instrument several weeks ago and it was tuned 1/2 step flat
because the customer, a Doctor, didn't want to spend the money for a pitch
raise without checking with their music teacher "to see if it was important"
!!

  So being familiar with the instrument I was not worried about breaking
strings, etc.
  From closed, unprepared, spinet to finished pitch raise was 21 minutes.
To end of tuning was 52 minutes. From start, to finish, with the piano closed
up and me ready to walk out the door was 57 minutes.

  Now I did not try to go faster than normal, although I did pay closer
attention to my overpull than usual, also I will be back and do another tuning
as they intend to play this thingee with an electronic keyboard in the same
room. I am sure that the next tuning will not be done in 31 minutes :-)
Just FYI
