To all those on the List who took offense at my candid remarks, I apologize for the inappropriateness of the post and acknowledge that if anything, it should have been on PTG-L. Sometimes, the words we casually fling about can be taken very seriously and have very long term consequences. I wish as much as anyone does that the Pianotech List remain a free and open discussion about Piano Technology, not personal differences. I have unsubscribed and will be away from my computer until next Tuesday. I would very much prefer to participate in Pianotech writing scholarly and to-the-point posts about piano tuning and other aspects of piano technology, not about personal traits and personal opinions. Our profession is by nature empirical. To prevent others from getting the most out of it by politics, social pressure and intimidation is tantamount to restraint of trade. There must be room for the discussion and implementation of new ideas and techniques. Sincerely, Bill Bremmer RPT Madison, Wisconsin
