A follow up question re: using the two octave temperament (A2-A4): on most of the pianos I run across (which tend to be on the budget end of the spectrum), the plain wire strings end at or just below F3. Would including wound strings in your ladder of 3rds present any distortions of the 4:5 ratio? -- Jerry Hunt Dallas, TX USA
