Pound hard only with the tuning hammer removed from the pin. You won't win a fight with the stubbornest strings, so let fighters be and do two passes. This lets the string settle to where it wants so it can be coaxed to where you want it. IMHO These are strong willed pianos, but once coaxed into submission, they stay well. -Mike Jorgensen RPT If you let this piano know your blood pressure is rising, it'll give you all the more trouble.
