My first impression of the recent legislation is that it will make it difficult, if not impossible, for anyone other than a large corporation to obtain a useable patent, and easy for large corporations to steal any new filings from others with lesser means. There is a website with current status of legislation being railroaded through at http://www.trudelgroup.com/status.htm.
