Mostly :-) 'If' you are going to be changing keybed felts leveling the keys won't gain anything will it? 'If' you have a 'level' bench and set samples in the piano as you suggest 'after' bedding the frame, one can indeed get very very close on the bench..... With a properly bedded frame, done in the piano, and the action/keybed setting on your bench all the actions/reactions/measurements will be relative and setting the newly felted keys to the 'unnewly felted' samples will put you awful danged close. Close enough for "Performance Quality"...nope.... but awfully danged close indeed :-) Jim Bryant (FL)
