The Model IIIM, Model II and Model I are full Renner actions, parts assembled at the Renner factory. You have asked for expert opinions, and the overwhelming opinion seems to be in favor of Yamaha, or the like, as aposed to the Petrof... the jury is still out on the Petrof's long term quality. Yamaha has a 100 plus year history in the piano business and has leaded the industry for decades. My friend, that is good enough for me. Good luck on whatever brand you decide on. Ed Tomlinson >> Until the mid 1960, Yamaha's were considered one of the worlds worst. They have come a long way, and are indeed one of the better pianos out there. But when it comes to longevity, don't boast too much about Yamaha. Petrof was founded in 1864, in an area of the world that saw the invention and development of the piano. They suffered tremendously because of Communism, but they have made a great come back, and are now considered one of Europe's premier pianos. Willem Blees
