 If you are referring to Montal's "L'Art d'accorder soimeme son piano" Arthur 
Loesser speaks about it in his book published in 1954. However as Arthur was 
wise enough to stay out of the 'temperament' debates his reference has no 
bearing on a given temperament(s) :-)
