Hi Ed:

Just finished repairing an Ivers & Pond roll player, circa 1963.
In order to compensate for the roll not tracking properly, after making all 
other checks and adjustments, I took off the take-up
spool, removed the flange from right end, and put it a spacer made of single 
core cardboard.  This took care of the problem with the rolls creasing and 
tearing on that side.  The roll tracks, and plays properly.
