Keytop suggestion

I agree.  Contact cement or any product that has to be put on both surfaces 
to glue up seems a waist of time.  I put my PVC-E glue in a (titebond) bottle 
and squeeze a small bead on the key and then apply the top.  I glue all the 
"A's" then the others in succession.  This saves time and I can do a set in 
just two to three hours total time.
I always shoot the fronts white with a primer white to give it a brand new 
look.  Do this before application of tops so that the small trimming out will 
remove any overspray that may come as a result.

<< You might consider using PVC-E glue for your keytops. It has all the same 
 characteristics as your Elmer's glue but is more durable and longer lasting. 
 I get mine from McCall Enterprises. 614-898-0497.  Once you try it you'll be 
 stuck on it! ( Sorry...just had to.)
