What compensation would YOU consider adequate if YOU were doing the
work.  COuld you live with that much energy output with that amount of
take home pay?

Are you providing insurance, retirement and vacations?  If not then
they have to pay for that out of what you provide as well as provide
for themselves and their family.

Talk to your accountant who should have some experience with this
issue with other clients.
