Yesterday I was called to tune a _Studio Grand_. It turned out to be a console. I told the customer that it wasn't a grand. "Yeah, but that's what it's called," he replied. Can anyone tell me the origin of the term _console_, referring to a 40-43" vertical piano? Bob Anderson Tucson, AZ
