At this late date adding this structure would have dubious value, though it would "change" the characteristics somewhat. Who knows, a little rim stiffening, a little rim bracing, perhaps a nose bolt or two, might turn that old ______ piano into a ________ ??? :-) If you try this let us know how it turns out, OK?
