Hi Clyde, I thought I`d refer you to Barth Story @ Chris Finger Pianos (303)652-3110. They took in a Hoffmann that had been exposed to smoke and steam, as a result of a house fire and it`s being put out. I know that they thoroughly inspected the instrument and it was restrung, but of most keen interest was the ozone machine used to eliminate the odor of smoke which had saturated the felts and the woods. sincerely, Tom Carpenter carpthos@televiso.com -----Original Message----- From: Clyde Hollinger <cedel@redrose.net> To: pianotech@ptg.org <pianotech@ptg.org> Date: Saturday, April 10, 1999 9:59 AM Subject: Fire/smoke damage >Friends: > >A customer of mine has a Kincaid spinet in her finished basement level >where she teaches piano.
