Don, Darn those plastic actions! Ooops - that one is wood ;-) The damper springs have worn into the felt punchings on the damper levers and is squeaking against the glue. The ultimate solution is to replace the punchings - but a little Protec works really well, too. Take the action out and put it in a cradle, tilted hammers down (or lay it on a clean table VERY carefully). Using a spring hook, lift up the damper spring, then with a skinny screwdriver in the other hand, smear a little dab of MPL-1 on the punching. Replace the spring and move on. You can also apply a single drop of protec on the punching, but I like the MPL-1 a little better.
