Darn those plastic actions!

Ooops - that one is wood ;-)

The damper springs have worn into the felt punchings on the damper
levers and is squeaking against the glue. The ultimate solution is to
replace the punchings - but a little Protec works really well, too.

Take the action out and put it in a cradle, tilted hammers down (or lay
it on a clean table VERY carefully). Using a spring hook, lift up the
damper spring, then with a skinny screwdriver in the other hand, smear a
little dab of MPL-1 on the punching. Replace the spring and move on.

You can also apply a single drop of protec on the punching, but I like
the MPL-1 a little better.
