Hi Clyde,
    Try exchanging parts with neighbors to isolate the problem.  I had a
Baldwin-Hamilton with a mysterious click which moved when the wippen was
traded with another note.  I checked virtually everything and never did
figure out the reason as this wippen seemed ok in every way. 
Mystified, but solved with a new wippen.
