Dear John and List,
        When you say that you have the original stringing scale or pattern I
assume that you are looking it up in a scaling manual of some type. Did you
take careful specs of the stringing pattern and mic'ed the strings before you
removed all and disgarded? Sometimes what you may have found in a manual to be
the supposed scale for your particular piano may not match what the strining
pattern was like originally.
Sounds like you may have several tied strings or perhaps unisons where the
string is utilizing two hitch pins instead of one. Hope this helps.
