There is only ONE occurence of the combination "F's". It is in the initial sentence. So the answer is ONE. If we are _not_ speaking literally, we have to interpret what we are being asked to count, and the logical assumption is that we are being asked to count the number of F's in the "following sentence." SIX. Take your pick. ONE, or SIX, or EIGHT if one wishes to be farfetched, and ignore the lower case. Seven NOT, with apologies to Faintly.
