Hi, friends! Yesterday I installed a complete Dampp-Chaser humidity control system in a 1993 Kawai 502-M console piano. The only place I could find inside the case for the tank was on the floor board immediately to the right of the pedals, and I needed to use a short tank at that. I mounted the mylar shield above the tank on the underside of the keybed (one of those metal keybed frames; I used Goo glue). As we all know, the directions specify keeping both the tank and the shield to the far right. Now to my first question, for those with more experience -- Will the system work properly, even though neither the tank nor the shield are against the right side? Or should I move the shield to the far right? Anyone have experience with this? And the second question, while I'm on the subject; do you wait longer between pad changes, now that the new formula is said to extend pad life? Thanks in advance for any response!
