Seasoned for destination fact or fiction?

This is fact... not just a claim. I saw the Yamaha factories in Japan last
week. I could definitely see the diference in domestic products vs. others.
They are cured or seasoned differently. The keybeds can also be different as
well as other wood choices. I think that these grey markets can be a good
value to some but generally would not recommend them over the purchase of new.

I have had lots of experience with grey market pianos and find that many need
restringing and have lots of rust and even warping of action parts.

 2. The other aspect that is always raised is the 'seasoned for destination'
marketing claim of Yamaha. I live in a fairly high humidity zone and these
piano do not appear to have any unusual problem. Has anyone experienced poor
stability in these imported pianos? If so, was this above what you would
normally expect from moving any piano from a high to lower humidity zone.
