Hi all, Boy, those of you who were not able to go missed a great, ( as usual ) convention. Not being able to get to classes quickly, and not wanting to be an interruption, I stayed in the booth shared with Bill Spurlock. Even from this vantage point one could feel the very positive energy of the convention. It was great to finally attend the classes held on Sunday. The "Temperament Jam" ( my term. ) brought a real surprise awakening to my ears. Bill Bremmer, who is an advocate of HTs and on this list, was one of the tuners who prepped the pianos in this Jam. To you Bill thanks for opening my ears and removing some of my doubts about HTs and their use in contemporary music, as well as music of the age in which they were used. I think that one could hear the difference in the temperaments, Equal, Victorian, etc. but the difference was, for me not that drastic or objectionable, like I expected it to be. Sorry for missing the meeting for those present on this list. You probably know me from seeing me at the booth. If you see me in the future please say howdy and introduce yourself, as it is nice to put a face to a name. Joe Goss AKA Mother Goose You know your on the level if your bubble is in the middle.
