Greetings, All! I apologize for not being able to post this earlier, but the"POTTY" award arrived yesterday morning. Simply put, it's beautiful. Jim Bryant started out by creating a certificate--complete with the picture of a computer-- which both describes and announces the award. He then took a piece of pinblock material, some wood stain, a small tuning hammer and some lac- quer and fashioned it into what can only be described as a work of art. In the end, the award plaque says more about Jim Bryant than it does Les Smith--it says that in a world where a work ethic of "good enough to get by" often seems to prevail, Jim takes enough pride in what he does to give every job his very best shot. Frankly, I'm impressed. A lot. I have the award hanging in my den, near the computer. However, when I look at it, instead of reading the certificate, I find myself thinking: HEY! I know the guy who made that, and a whole bunch of others just like him, all thanks to Pianotech and a bit of magic called the internet. Lucky me. Big-time. I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to Jim, for his considerable part in all this; to Newton Hunt, for his input into the design of the award; and to the Pianotech members--each and every one of you. Thanks, Guys! Les Smith
