List, There was quite a buzz about methanol recently, and personally, I feel that we take for granted some of the chemicals we work with daily. Acetone (hammer hardener, including Fords), methanol, cyanoacrylate glue, and whatever is in ProTek (Tim, any chemical analysis?) are all referred to frequently on the list, and spray lacquers, thinners, solvents, graphite, *magic goop* (you know, the concoction you made 18 years ago to fix pedal squeeks that you still have a large mason jar full of) are a few others that I can add off the top of my head. Here are some Web addresses for Material Safety Data Sheets on chemicals: http://www.generalpaint.com/97.html This is a listing of solvents and such sold by General Paint, with Material Safety Data Sheets on each product. http://www.osha-slc.gov/OCIS/toc_chemsamp.html A listing of chemical properties from the American Occupational Saftey and Health Administration. Extremely comprehensive. http://www.enviro-net.com/technical/msds/ Enviro-net has this search engine linked to the University of Utah Material Safety Data Sheet database. Better than than the OSHA site. For fun, check out Caffeine Hope this helps, 8-) (hmmm. can't find an ASCII character for a gas-mask) Rob Kiddell, Registered Piano Technician, PTG atonal@planet.eon.net
