Edward Swenson RPT in Trumansburg NY ph 607 387 6650 does mostly antique restorations and is knowledgeable in the apprasials of these older beasts. Problem is when a piano gets this old, you have to start at the bottom and rework it all the way up. by the time you do that, it costs a small fortune and most people aren't in that mode of expense. However, in my experience, I have found a customer for every piano, at the right price. Supply and demand, sort of stuff. There really isn't a "Blue Book" for these older pianos. But if you found a piano like the one you're mentioning in perfect condition, all original, no scratches, no cracks, etc. how would you size up this one you are looking at? POS?
