Greetings Jon, Inlay a piece of material? Or replace the block with modified mounting system? If you have a problem getting good quality birds eye Maple, try a burled elm. I recapped a 6' Mason and Risch grand pin block with this material, it looked wonderful, to the uninitiated it would pass as birds eye maple. Significantly cheaper to boot. Regards Roger. >Aside from that, hic, this is a block which is let into the case, I am of >the mind to inlay a new piece of material and veveer >with birdseye maple. > >Has anyone tried this? > >Should I use 1/0 instead of 2/0? > >Thanks, > > > > > >Jon Page >Harwich Port, Cape Cod, Mass.
