Hello everybody, I've just started subscribing to pianotech and I thought
that I should be polite and introduce myself.

My name is Richard Jones and I graduated from Newark and Sherwood College
(U.K.)as a tuner / technician in 1997. I am currently working in Haarlem
(Holland) for Andriessens Pianos (and Vleugels of course) as a technician.
I spend a fair amount of my time there repairing and regulating mature
high quality German pianos.

I live with my wife Fia and my son Joshua.
In my spare time I look after my son who is 18 months old, repair bicycles
and walk and cycle, ride my motorbike and play the piano badly. Using email
is a new interest for me. I do however find it very hard to read all the
pianotech email. I now subscribe to the digest which does not seem to have
helped my problem which is simply the quantity of information involved
every day. Any ideas anyone ? Do members of the list also write to one
another directly by email ?

I am very happy in this fast moving world to have the privilidge of working
with my hands on something which I believe technology cannot beat - the
piano.
Isn't it great to have a job you enjoy !

Look forward to hearing from you

Rich
