      Dear List,

I understand that Varnish is our standard for resealing sound boards.
Why is it that we don't use Urethanes, Poly-Urethanes or other
      synthetic wood finishes?

      Just curious,

I used a spar polyurethan on the last SB I refinished because it is more
resistent to temperature and humidity changes which is what we want in pianos.
