Richard, I used proteck on a Steinway B that was unplayable after sitting 25 years unused back in Virginia. It was moved to Helena and donated to Cathedral here. I took out the wippens and cleaned everything including hammer flanges with protech. That was about 6 years ago and the piano is still used regularly and is still nice and free.
