It occurs to me that baking soda may eventually add to future friction problems. Furthermore, perhaps this would shorten the life of the bushing cloth (making the pin loose over time), since baking soda is a mild abrasive. You would have to completely rinse it out after the application, which may be difficult since it will probably want to stick to the cloth. Just a thought. Rob Goodale, RPT
