In a message dated 98-02-07 13:14:17 EST, you write:

>I have a grand on consignment with a dealer closer to Boston.
>I supplied an artist bench with it. He has taken a deposit on the
>piano and some bass strings were added yesterday for the customer's
>final OK. When I asked how did the customer like the artist bench,
>he said he sold the piano with a standard bench and tersely added,
>"I'm keeping it". This took me aback and I did not respond.
>
>Would I be justified to request my artist bench returned and instead
>supply an standard bench?

Jon

Do you have some sort of written agreement with the dealer? Does it say on the
agreement that the piano has an artist bench with it? If not, if he wants to
be an #$@ hole, you might have a difficult time getting your money out of him.
The only other threat you can hold over him is that you will not give him any
more business, and that you will tell all your friends what happened.
