Greetings to all.
I'm doing an appraisal on this. On the plate it also says
"miniature".Looking inside, the player mechanisim has been removed. What
model is this? Year is 1912?
Work evidently has been done in the action. Repetitions, Hammershanks,
and Hammers appear to be replaced. His mother bought it used, in
1980. Nothing was done after she bought it. So these parts would have
to be at least that old. Backchecks are original, VERY worn. Dampers
look replaced. Otherwise everything appears original, not replaced.
Full 88 keys.
He inherited this from his mother who is dead now.. Looks like the
finish is in remarkable shape. "Pecan" color.
Minor scratches and dings.
Two braced leg "stance" support on each side.
Nice looking keys, but not ivory.

The soundboard is in good shape, crown, no cracks, ribs secure.

The entire bridge though has linear cracks at pins termination front
row, and back row, running the whole length, and the Bass bridge
exhibits the same effect. Very consistent, but is there any thoughts
about why ? Downbearing I found to be "almost" nonexistent.

And if it were restrung, besides the obvious "To-Do List", of measuring,
and checking the tension scale, what are other not so obvious concerns,
that if re-capped, might cause to occur again?

Pin Block has good torque

Sound though is weak, muffled, and seems related to the bridge problem.

Ideas? Approximate value?
He wants to know if and original player mechanism can be found?
What are the trade-offs (value wise for him, or resale) finding the
mechanism vs putting a PianoDisk in?

Thank you in advance
sws
