In Radio school we were taught a method for figuring out the length needed for full wave, half wave, and quarter wave, long wire antennas. We were told to use the figure of 408 as the "free space" factor. None of our instructors could tell us where the figure of 408 came from, just that this was the factor to use in allowing for movement 'to' but not 'through' the ionosphere allowing radio waves to be reflected back down at a predictable angle. All three formulas/antennas worked using that figure and when any other figure was used they did not work. Well since Kirsi's question and several responses have alluded to the "celestial" figures needing to be divisible by 4, and since 408/4 =102 maybe there is something here after all. Probably just a conspiracy of the Tri- Lateral-Commission/Multi National Corporation One Worlders though. :-) Eds observations on low tension tuning could possibly be attributed to bridge downbearing rather than celestial coupling but..........
