Frank I have used the "clip on" bridal tapes for over 20 years on action with no holes through the catchers. To date no one has noticed or remarked about additional weight to the action. I suppose it might be worth while to weigh off an action to see what weight is added, but my some of my clients are sensitive enough to weight, that they would have mentioned it by now.
