This last week at the MSIPC I met a piano teacher (traveling with two of
his students who were competitors) from the Czech Republic. He gave me a
brochure on the Bohemia Piano.

Bohemia Piano Ltd., produces a 9' and 7' concert grand piano, a 6'1" and
5'3" grand piano, and a full line of console and studio pianos. The grand
pianos use Abel hammers, Renner actions and Kluge keyboards. The console
and studio and upright pianos use TOFA Actions (Czech Republic), HERRBURGER
BROOKS Keyboards, and Czech Hammers.

Bohemia also has Piano Disc and Quiet Time installed on some of the pianos.
In addition they have a keyboard called the Futura, which is installed in
the case of a piano. The tone is generated not by any strings, but by the
GT-360 Quiet Time (Piano Disc). It has 128 sounds, and 16 MIDI channels.

Other brand names are Rieger-Kloss and Schlogl. The web page (in English)
is at http://www.Bohemiapiano.cz/. In the US, Bohemia pianos are marketed
by Weber Piano Co. in Secaucus, NJ.

This is not intended to be an advertisement, and I don't know anything else
about this brand of piano. I thought I would pass the info along to my
wonderful friends on the list.

Have a wonderful day full of music.

Sincerely,
David
