As far as "real ivory" I would respond:"They sure look like ivory-very nice
indeed.  Wait a minute- these are the finest ivory imitations I have ever
seen! Can you believe-they almost fooled me too."  Be sincere.

As far as value you just mutter something like:"hmmmmmmm" and smile.
(never say anything that would reveal the customer got cheated)
