Hi Clyde, One advantage to cheap pianos is they usually have a higher tone per dollar value. i.e. That old $800 piano may have 1/10 the tone for 1/100 the price of that $80,000 piano. Cheaper pianos can ALMOST always be called politely a "good value". -Mike
