I found the following this morning on page 12 of the April 1973 Piano
Technicians Journal:

The Gordon Laughead Company
A small family-owned and operated piano manufacturing company dedicated to
the building of a good musical keyboard instrument- not fancy furniture.

An increasing number of independent Piano Technicians have discovered that
the Gordon Laughead Piano sounds like a piano- tunes like a piano- holds
reasonably well. Want to know more about them? Write for a free brochure.
