André A couple of questions, You altered the strike line in the top treble, did you alter it in the offending are as well? perhaps altering the strike line throught would help. You say strings have been changed, in one section which is o.k. are the rest of the strings original or have they been changed in the past, if so are they the correct gauges. Have you tried changing the strings on a few notes in the dead area? putting a thicker gauge may help, as the harmonics will sing out more with the higher tension needed for the correct pitch.
