Question: What's in McLube 1708L? It says, "use as a substitute for graphite". It looks like graphite suspended in alcohol. Tastes like Michelob. I had a can of 1708L eat through the can and leak all over. What's in McLube 1725? (clear film lubricant) If no other opposing posts come in I will crown Greg Torres the great Von Dag-Meister. He will receive a gallon of denatured alcohol, a quart of stale beer(which is a fresh 6-pak of Old Milwaukee), and 12 oz. of powdered graphite. It simply is D-denatured, A-Alcohol and, yes, G-Graphite. The vehicle is the denatured alcohol (same as in Garfields pin-block restorer) The binder is the graphite itself-ever use a pencil on a piece of paper? :-) When it dries up in the container just add denatured alcohol and shake or stir well and it is like new. All there is to it ! end of thread for me..... :-) Greg Torres -----Original Message----- From: Ron Nossaman <nossaman@SOUTHWIND.NET> To: pianotech@ptg.org <pianotech@ptg.org> Date: Friday, November 28, 1997 11:11 AM Subject: Re: graphite lubricants >At 07:55 PM 11/26/97 -0600, you wrote: >> >>-----Original Message----- >>From: Jon Page <jpage@capecod.net> >>To: pianotech@ptg.org <pianotech@ptg.org> >>Date: Tuesday, November 25, 1997 12:42 PM >>Subject: Re: Grand knuckle material >> >> > >Ding, wrong, thank you for playing.
