It seems to me that graphite grease is powdered graphite mixed with petroleum jelly; yes, no? Protek is 'space-age polymers' mixed with petroleum jelly; yes, no? So the Protek will act as the graphite and become a hard solid mess, ultimately leaving a jack and balancier impression; yes, no? I would venture a guess that the knuckles need replacement. I have mixed the "One Puff" micro-fine powder with the liquid Protek and applied it to the knuckles. The liquid is a vehicle for the powder.
