Robert,

You said that it had no value, in your opinion.  If the piano had minimal
value, then it has value.  Replacement value is what most insurance companies
are concerned with.  A piano like that would take $1500 to replace at least.
 Do account for the fact that the piano has to be moved and serviced.  The
insurance they paid for will allow them to replace it with another low
qaulity piano at least...if not a new replacement.  In fact since there is no
new replacement the insurance co. will most likely allow the piano to be
replaced with a new typical console( the closest thing to what they had).
 Most of those will be around $3500-$4000.  Good luck, I hope this helps.
