Would be interested in what people on the list do about call backs when there is nothing wrong. Occasionally somebody will call me and tell me that the piano is still out of tune. In most cases I find that the problem is in tone (read voicing) not tuning. Many times this happens in a church when there is no one present (at the original call) to explain the need for voicing. Once I had a lady call me back and tell me the piano was buzzing since I had tuned it. I drove 15 miles one way to check it out and found a glass full of marbles on top of the piano lid. When you are accused of faulty work, make a return trip to check it out and find nothing wrong, do you charge?. If you do charge, how do you decide how much. Am trying to balance customer goodwill against the customer who has a $21.95 guitar tuner and thus is also an expert piano technician. Dick Day Marshall MI
