I have dropped a tuning lever, and it did cause damage.  There was no way I
could walk away from that one.  Did I ever feel awful.  As much as I
disliked owning up to the owner of said property, any other approach would
have been unsatisfactory at this stage in for me.

And there are other times and other events which have occurred, where
something goes really haywire, almost beyond belief.  Nonetheless, f it
can't be corrected before someone has a chance to find out, best just come
out with it and make determinations as to solutions.
