SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

Folks,

Just when you thought it wasn't safe to read anything I write:

Several of the schools for which I consult have asked me to "look about" for
piano technicians. At the present time, there are 3 _potential_ such
openings, all in CA.

I would suggest that the kind of candidates with the greatest possibility
of success
would have most of the following to include on their resum=E9s:

	- 10-15 years minimum experience
	- graduation from a recognized program in piano technology
	- RPT preferred, but not mandatory
	- verifiable institutional experience
	- BA/BS, and/or advance degree, not mandatory, but preferred
	- willing to relocate to CA (moving expenses probably not covered)
	- other (to be announced)

Further, I would add that while a "younger" technician would not necessarily
be excluded on that basis alone, I would hate to be involved in sending a=
 lamb
to the slaughter, so to speak. The level of expectation ranges from above=
=20
average to established concert technician level.

Interested parties may send resum=E9s, inquiries to me, either privately on
the list, or to
my home at:

	14 Pyxie Lane
	San Carlos
	CA 94070-1506

All inquiries will be held in the strictist confidence.

This is not a solicitation for direct application. I am not yet authorized
to advertise
information about the specific positions. I will post such notice to the
list as soon
as I am released to do so.

In addition, folks thinking about this should be aware that California
presently enjoys
the third highest tax rate in the US, and that all of these positions
involve moving to, and
living in, metropolitan areas.

On the other hand, these are potentially truly great situations for the
right persons.

Thanks for your time. Please contact me directly.

Best to all.

Horace
