[This message is converted from WPS-PLUS to ASCII] To those on the list who do appraisals: When appraising a Steinway DuoArt (1910-1920's, 6" added to length of case to allow for Aeolian player mechanism placed underneath), what is the opinion of this august body on whether any allowance should be made in arriving at a fair value for the piano without player mechanism. Assuming that the customer has no interest in locating a player mechanism, would it be fair to simply treat (and appraise) the instrument as if it were a "regular" M or L of same age and condition?
