String Noise

I am not a technician, but I would like to pose a question to the group
about a problem with my piano that has eluded my technician's efforts so
far. The instrument is a Baldwin L made in 1961. The problem is what
my technician described as string noise, a disagreeable high frequency
edge to the note that does not respond to voicing. It's happening on
the second G above middle C, and to a much lesser extent on the F# and
G# adjacent to the G. To date, the technician has replaced the strings
in that section of the keyboard and filed the metal ridge (sorry I don't
know the technical name) that the strings pass over on their way to the
tuning pins. We have just replaced hammers, shanks and flanges in the
entire piano (Isaac hammers). The string noise problem persists. I
would appreciate any suggestions from the group on other things to try.
